BARBERÁ BASIN

Conca de Barberà is one of the most clearly defined Catalan regions from a geographical point of view, with a beautiful landscape and immense historical-cultural heritage. Enjoys of a transitional Mediterranean climate which makes a very privileged area for vineyards cultivation. It shows a mosaic of contrasting landscapes, in one hand the strict Conca, surrounded by mountainous slopes and meadows, and Serra de Prades in the other, with mountains, plateau extensions and deep ravines.

At the end of the Ebre's battle, Conca de Barberà became the main entrance to Tarragona. Its ravines and senders were also the hide paths for the soldiers to escape to France.
