LABRUIXA
DO TERRA ALTA

THE WITCH
In 1938, the 27th Division, was sent from Segre to the Ebre's front.
The fact that it appeared and disappeared in different battles of Aragon and Catalonia suddenly, earned the nickname of "La Bruixa (The Witch)". On August 6th, its soldiers arrived in Vilalba dels Arcs, right where this vineyard is located, and between them my grandfather.
This wine gathers the spirit and essence of the old Terra Alta, a selection of organic grape from local varieties, mostly white Grenache (80%) of Vall de Vinyes, right next to the village Vilalba dels Arcs, and Macabeo (20). %) from old vineyards. Macerated and fermented with skin during 15 days, to extract its aromatic potential and protect the wine in a naturally way. Spontaneous fermentation with the yeast of the grapes and work of fine lees for 3 months, unfiltered.
